So often memories seem to find me at unexpected times, and I find bits and pieces of you in my mind. The smallest thing can make me stumble. A simple word can make me shiver-smile, and fall back into dreaming all these dreams I have of you - of candlelight and rainstorms. Laughing eyes, your crooked smile, how beautiful you are. How beautiful you were to me.
In that time it seemed we were so alive we were bursting at the seems. You said “we’re bursting into sunflowers.” Falling into dreams, swinging on a swingset, overfilled with life and laughter - yes, we were alive.
I will not forget these things. How could I not remember? How could I forget the smallest thing? I will not regret these things. I will not regret our love, and I will not regret it’s passing. I will not forget you.
