I have pots in two shows that are coming up soon... The annual Unwrapped show/sale is going on now through Dec. 15th at the Union Project. And, the annual Manchester Craftsmens Guild Staff/Student Holiday Sale will be Dec. 15 - 17 at MCG, 1815 Metropolitan St.

I wanted to highlight another new addition to my links page. Picture Balata is a program run by Matthew Cassel that got cameras into the hands of Palestinian children who live in the Balata refugee camp outside Nablus. The site is beautiful and so are the images. Also worth viewing is Matthew Cassel's site, justimage.org.

Also, in the "tooting my own horn" category, I would also like to mention that I have reached a new stage in my html knowledge. Today, for the first time ever, I solved a problem with my website by using code that I hadn't been able to solve using Dreamweaver.

Baby steps.

Some of you may know my friend Dick Lehman. He is a potter from Goshen, Indiana, who was diagnosed with lymphoma several years ago, and came out of remission this spring. I am honored to be included in a show organized to support him over the next several months as he undergoes rigorous treatment. The show physically resides at Dick's studio in The Old Bag Factory in Goshen, but you can see it (and buy pieces from over 300 artists who have donated work) online at Extended Hands: A Show of Support for Dick Lehman.

The big news of the day is that I have in my little hands a disc labled "Final Mixes." Unfortunately, it is labled slightly innapropriately... Couple things still need to be done, but it's close. Real close. There is still hope for a pre-Christmas release.

The bad news is that the Steelers suck.

More news (really more of a story) is that last night, driving down the lane by my house on my way to pick up the afore-mentioned cd, I was startled to see what I thought at first was a creepy man, dressed in black sneaking up the lane. If that wasn't scary enough, I then realized that it was not human - it's eyes were gleaming with that queer blue-green animal glow. It wasn't until (about a second later) it dropped to all fours that I realized it was a black bear. Very cool. I had heard that there had been sightings on camp and I was hoping to see one. I am glad, however, that I was in my car.

I will leave you with a couple pictures I took around the house and on the commute to Pgh. It's been a beautiful fall...
