You left me sad as a lonely, little christian, left behind, who always thought his name would be found written in the book life - now waking up to his surprise to find there’s no one else around.

Well I don’t know much about God, but maybe that’s enough, ‘cause I’m pretty sure God’s much bigger than we think. I can’t say for sure, but I’m afraid we’ve got it coming - when He comes again, I don’t think He’ll put up with all our shit.

This song is meant to be a not-so-subtle reminder to everyone who thinks God chooses sides based on race, or religion, or sexual preference that Jesus talked more about love than anout wrongs and rights. When He came the first time, He managed to shake things up pretty good for those who thought they had a monopoly on the truth - and I don’t think the next time is gonna be any different.
